Basic Hourly Fee Schedule (Non-contingency fee cases)

Attorney                       $250.00/hour
Associate Attorney             $175.00/hour
Legal Assistant/Paralegal      $100.00/hour
Law Clerk                       $50.00/hour
Secretary                       $50.00/hour

Minimum Fees

Fees are charged in units of one tenth (.25) of an hour.

Minimum fee charged for any activity is two tenths (.25) of an hour.

Minimum fee charged per court appearance is four tenths (.5) of an hour.

Minimum fee charged per trial day is eight (8) hours with a sixteen (16) hour minimum for jury trials.

Minimum fees will be charged for appearances outside of Independence, Inyo County, California as follows:

Bishop, California            2.0 hours
Mammoth Lakes, California     2.7 hours
Bridgeport, California        4.0 hours
Ridgecrest, California        3.0 hours
Bakersfield, California       4.3 hours
Fresno, California            6.5 hours
Sacramento, California        8.0 hours
San Francisco, California    10.0 hours

These minimum fees for travel assume a fee for travel one way plus a one hour appearance.  An appearance longer than one hour will be charged in addition to this minimum fee.

Travel to other locations will be charged at the actual time expended in travel one way, not to exceed eight hours during each travel day plus the actual time for the appearance.

Costs

Costs incurred on behalf of the client will be charged to the client.

The following costs factors will be used when charging costs to the client:

Mileage         44.5¢/mile

Photocopies     20¢/page

Fax  Incoming     $1.00/page
     Outgoing     $3.00/first - $1.00/page thereafter
Per diem (When an overnight stay is necessary)
     Attorney     $50.00/travel day
     Others     $35.00/travel day

The following costs will be charged to the client at the actual cost incurred:

Fees fixed by law or assessed by public agencies
Long distance telephone calls
Messenger and other delivery fees
Postage
Parking
Car rental (including insurance and gasoline)
Lodging (AAA rated mid-range facility)
Public transportation expenses
Airfare
Tolls
Investigation expenses
Consultants' fees
Expert witness fees
Court Reporter fees
Transcripts
Trial Exhibits
