Children's MinistryTouching the future through children today. Sunday School For Children...Meets Sunday mornings during regular church services. Children of all ages are invited to explore the Bible through song, study and play. Program is based upon One Room Sunday School. QuiltersPrown of thorns... Hand stitching quilts as a ministry to others is a setting for shared fun and fellowship. This is a community wide effort, inviting any who wish to help others through quilting ans share in a fellowship of caring. Quilters gather the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 p.m. Special Worship ServicesThroughout the year Special Worship Services are held to celebrate our Christian faith. Human Relations Sunday United Methodist WomenMaking a difference in the world. The United Methodist Women are dedicated to deepening their own spiritual lives and are lead to be tools of Christ's healing in God's world. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall. Projects actively supported include: Henderson Settlement...... brings living skills to families in rural Appalachia. The settlement provides education, like skills, The United Methodist Women are dedicated to deepening their own spiritual lives and are lead to be tools of Christ's healing in God's world. Adopt A Child...... through Christian Children's Fund assures a child in Thailand needed resources. Nutrition for Special Children...... assures that the nutritional needs of "special needs" children in southern Inyo County are met. Caring Ministry...... offering support to families grieving the loss of a loved one. Lone Pine Convalescent Ministries...... working with others to help ca\re for those in the Lone Pine Skilled Nursing Facility. Wild Iris...... provides shelter and services to battered women and children in the Owens Valley. WORSHIP SERVICESSunday Morning ----- 9:30 a.m.Members, friends and visitors of the Pioneer Memorial community gather to celebrate all that God makes possible in our lives -- You are welcome. Communion is celebrated on the second and fifth Sundays of each month, as well as on Festival Sundays. All are encouraged to partake of the Lords Table. Services are followed by Fellowship Time in the Social Hall. A potluck brunch usually follows the services on the first Sunday of the month.
